Custom-designed transducers

Crafted from years of experience and knowledge. The Yamaha CBR12 is equipped with a 12'' custom designed LF driver and a 1.4'' compression driver capable of handling up to 700W of peak power. The cabinet may be compact in size, but its capabilities definitely aren't. Thanks to Yamaha's technical genius, this 12'' powerhouse is capable of delivering an impressive maximum SPL of up to 125dB. All without compromise when it comes to audio quality, performance, and reliability. The CBR12 also features Yamaha's extremely accurate wide dispersion constant-directivity horn. With a coverage angle of 90° x 60°, the CBR12 evenly projects clear a mid-range and accurate high frequencies. Sound remains balanced and defined all the way to the outer-most edges of its wide coverage area.

HF protection and responsive LF driver

The CBR12 utilizes a clever and unique circuitry system. It acts as a protective step to automatically limit the level of output from the high frequency driver. This in turn helps to reduce the chance of blowing a speaker due to over-powering. Combined with an extremely responsive low frequency driver, the CBR12 sounds crisp, clear, and full at any output level.
